On October 27th, 2023, Unomojo proudly sponsored the VIP Lounge at Kurt & Brenda Warner’s Rock’N 6th Celebrity Game Night, a spectacular event at Scottsdale Hangar One which raised $560,000 for Treasure House. As a nonprofit supported living residence dedicated to empowering young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs), Treasure House epitomizes the kind of impactful work that Unomojo is thrilled to support.
Why has Treasure House earned our support?
Treasure House is the future that we envision for our son Payton, and many others with disabilities. The distinct model does A World of Good by offering a safe and independent living solution for young adults with IDDs to thrive in. With a focus on Life Skills Development, Job Training, and abundant Social Opportunities, each resident develops a personalized plan for leading a fulfilling life post high school and beyond.
Unomojo’s VIP Lounge entertained 200 of Treasure House’s greatest fans with specialty cocktails, an exclusive opportunity to meet Brenda and Kurt and engage in an intimate Q&A session with Treasure House residents, and indulge in top-tier Treasure Bag prizes. Unomojo added its signature touch of technology to the Treasure Bags, ensuring each contained a practical and stylish multi-device charger.
The program’s spotlight shone brightly on the remarkable journeys and accomplishments of Treasure House residents—dubbed Resident Rock Stars for the evening. From Nate’s electrifying drum performance alongside rock band Stryder to Katie’s inspiring steps toward complete independence, each story underscored the transformative impact of Treasure House. The program revealed that an impressive 72% of residents are gainfully employed, compared to the 21% national average for Americans with disabilities.
In aligning with Treasure House’s mission of fostering vibrant and purposeful lives for individuals with disabilities, Unomojo reaffirms its commitment to making a positive difference in the community. By supporting philanthropic events like Celebrity Game Night, Unomojo continues to champion humanity and inclusion.
